Roar

Roar
We all must have a soft side and a side that stands for what is eternally right. For what will affect the future we must learn to roar.

About Me

Illinois, United States
I am a woman, a mom, a wife and a pastor. Through many trials I have come and learned that there is a lion inside each of us waiting to roar. The circumstances of life may have convinced you that you have no voice and that you do not matter BUT that is a lie from the pits of hell. It's not a yellow brick road around here, but come with me and we will find courage in the day to day and freedom for evermore.

Feel Like A Woman

Doing bills and making shopping lists and updating the calendars in my home often brings me to a moment of reality.  Dont get me wrong we are very blessed but we all can dream big right before that paycheck arrives and then when you start to disperse it out to the necessary people it seems not so grand.

Have you ever noticed how we expect one thing with great anticipation that some long awaited fulfillment will come and then "Bam" as Emeril would say, we are awakened by life.  If we let it, it can quickly discourage and dissappoint us.  But if we just approach it with a little humor ~ well we grow from it and keep right on moving on.

I have no magnificent blog for you today, just a little humor for you to take into your weekend and your next round of reality.  Laugh - it does a body good!  Have a great weekend.

Feel like a woman
On a Trans-Atlantic flight, a plane passes through a severe storm. The turbulence is awful, and things go from bad to worse when one wing is struck by lightning.

One woman in particular loses it. Screaming, she stands up in the front of the plane. "I'm too young to die!" she wails. Then she yells, "Well, if I'm going to die, I want my last minutes on earth to be memorable! No one has ever made me really feel like a woman! Well I've had it! Is there ANYONE on this plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN??"

For a moment there is silence. everyone has forgotten their own peril, and they all stare, riveted, at the desperate woman in the front of the plane.

Then, a man stands up in the rear of the plane. "I can make you feel like a woman," he says. He's gorgeous! Tall, built, with flowing black hair and jet black eyes, he starts to walk slowly up the aisle, unbuttoning his shirt one button at a time. No one moves. The woman is breathing heavily in anticipation as the strange man approaches. He removes his shirt. Muscles ripple across his chest as he reaches her, and extends the arm holding his shirt to the trembling woman, and whispers: "Iron this."
